The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kebbi Command, has warned politicians against political gathering at praying grounds to avoid breach of security arrangements.
The state Public Relations Officer of the corps, Alhaji Hayatudeen Falke, disclosed on Sunday in Birnin Kebbi that over 400 security operatives would be deployed to Eid praying grounds, public buildings and recreation centres to ensure safety of residents.
He said that the operatives would complement the efforts of other security agencies in the state to ensure security.
“We warn that the politicians should not troop in to praying grounds with their stalwarts as such may distract the security beef up and cause disorderliness.
“We also urge members of the public to be security conscious and report any suspicious movements in and around their neighbourhood to security agencies for prompt action,” Aliyu said.
