Jose Mourinho: “Paul Pogba Needs Time”

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed Paul Pogba needs time to adjust.
The French star joined United in the summer for a world record fee, but has yet to fully settle in at his boyhood club.
He scored two goals in United’s 4-1 Europa League rout of Fernabahce, and Mourinho admitted that he needed time to get back to his best.
“Two days ago he was the worst player in the Premier League and 48 hours later he is phenomenal,” Mourinho is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
“He needs time. I was in Italy, I know Italian football. To be in Italy for four or five years and come back, I was not expecting it to be a click of the fingers for intensity. He needs time.”
“We wanted the win because it was really important and now we are top of the group and are looking forward to the next game,” Pogba said after the game.
“I told Wayne [Rooney] I wanted to take the penalty and he let me. I am very happy to score that penalty and from a player like him to let me it is big respect so I am very glad.
“I feel comfortable with all of the team. It is just at the start of the season and there is still a long way to go and we want to go up and do our best and be top of the [Premier] League.”

Mikel Mobbed By Zambian girls Match

Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi was mobbed by Zambian girls after Nigeria defeated the Chipolopolo 2 – 1 in Ndola.
It took the intervention of the security men to rescue the handsome Chelsea player from the hands of beautiful ladies who were hell bent on getting his autographs.
Vanguard reports that after the World Cup qualifier at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, the ladies waited for the Nigerian captain as he made his way to the post match conference.
The former Lyn Oslo midfielder obliged some, but they screamed and shouted for more.
The police had hectic time separating them.
Moments after the conference, the girls defied the police and swarmed on the Nigerian captain, some crying.
Interestingly, the police who were meant to protect Mikel also added to the problem as they too held him back to snap pictures with him.
A Nigerian official had to explain to the police that the Eagles’ delegation were leaving straight to the Ndola Airport which closes by 5pm.
And As he leaves, the shout of his name took over the air.
However, the 29-year-old has stated that the victory over Zambia on Sunday, October 9, is the beginning of great things to come for the team. Mikel added that a united and focused Super Eagles, and a supportive Nigeria Football Federation, will guarantee the three –time African champions a place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals.

Revealed! EPL Club Held Transfer Talks With Messi, Neymar

It has been revealed that Manchester City held transfer talks with Barca superstar duo of Messi and Neymar but none wanted the move to the Etihad.
Upon Guardiola’s arrival at the Etihad, club owner Sheikh Mansour had promised to bankroll his rebuilding programme next summer but he also expects the Spaniard to win the title this term.
Reports now have it that the hierarchy at Manchester City consider David Silva and Sergio Aguero as core of the team if they improve their defensive abilities and also see Kevin De Bruyne as an important player but wanted to lure one of Barcelona’s superstars Lionel Messi or Neymar but both did not want to leave the Nou Camp.
Having started the season with a perfect record, Guardiola has come out to praise the qualities of Fernandinho whom he claimed can play across ten positions on the pitch while he is also “excited” to work with Raheem Sterling.
Earlier this summer, former Barca President John Laporta said the club were conspiring to sell Messi to Manchester City as the Argentine enters his final two years of a huge contract but Sporting director Robert Fernandez has said he is confident Messi will sign a new contract with the Catalan giants.

Ronaldo & Bale Miss Madrid Trip To Espanyol

Real Madrid will have to cope without Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in the quest for a club-record 16th straight La Liga win after coach Zinedine Zidane said both will miss Sunday’s trip to Espanyol.
Bale was forced off early by a hip knock as Real came from behind in dramatic fashion to beat Sporting Lisbon 2-1 on Wednesday in the Champions League.
Ronaldo started Real’s fightback against his old club, but misses out this weekend due to illness.
“Cristiano won’t travel.
He has a problem with his throat and is not ready to play,” Zidane said on Saturday.
“We are not going to risk anything and much less so with Ronaldo.”
Zidane also stressed Madrid’s busy schedule with five games in the next two weeks was also behind his decision to leave out Bale.
“He suffered a heavy blow (on Wednesday) so we won’t risk anything. All the players want to play, but we have a lot of games,” added Zidane.
“If Gareth gets another knock on the same area he could be out for 10 days or more. I prefer that he is 100 percent for Wednesday (against Villarreal).”
Zidane hinted that James Rodriguez may finally get his chance to start for the first time this season in the absence of Ronaldo and Bale after impressing as a substitute against Sporting.

Diego Costa Admits He Hardly Controls His Emotions On The Pitch

Chelsea centre forward, Diego Costa admits he finds it hard to contain his emotions on the pitch if things do not go his way as he hates to lose.
The Spain forward has been booked three times in the Blues’ first four Premier League games this season and has often been criticised for his attitude on the pitch.
But the 27-year-old feels his occasionally petulant display on the pitch is all down to his desire to win.
The Brazil born striker is appearing rejuvenated under the leadership of new Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte.
Costa told Chelsea’s official magazine, “When we go to the pitch, we want to win, that’s all we want to do. And when the game finishes, if you win, you go home happy.”
“If I lose a game, it’s a different frame of mind when I finish the match. I go home and I feel upset. So you always have to know that you are going to leave everything on the pitch, every drop of sweat, to help the team win the game.
“I don’t like losing, I don’t like to be in a losing position and I show this a lot. I demonstrate on the pitch.
“I believe my colleagues feel the same about losing, but everyone shows it differently on the pitch and I show a lot of spirit in not wanting to lose a game. We always have to show our character on the pitch, and I show my feelings.”

(Highlights) Chelsea 1 - 2 liverpool Premier Legue 2016/17

Jurgen Klopp’s men took an impressive victory in west London, and the highlight of the game was a thunderbolt from the England international in the first half
Jordan Henderson scored a sensational goal as Liverpool inflicted the first defeat of Antonio Conte’s Chelsea reign with a 2-1 Premier League victory at Stamford Bridge.
A dominant first-half performance from Liverpool was capped by Henderson picking out the top-right corner with a stunning, looping effort from 25 yards in the 36th minute, which ultimately proved enough to end Conte’s unbeaten start in his sixth match at the helm.
An error from Gary Cahill preceded Henderson’s wonder-strike, and Conte will have been disappointed to see his defence prove vulnerable with David Luiz making his second Chelsea debut following his deadline-day move back from Paris Saint-Germain in place of John Terry.
Diego Costa earned the Blues a point away at Swansea City last weekend and he initiated another comeback attempt with his sixth goal in as many Premier League appearances with 29 minutes remaining.

Mourinho Wants To Bring £60m-Rated Playmaker To Man Utd

José Mourinho has promised Real Madrid flop James Rodríguez a ‘major role’ at Manchester United should he jump shop to the Premier League, according to reports.
The Colombian international has yet to start a game for Real Madrid this season with Zinedine Zidane limiting Rodríguez to only three substitute appearances totaling 47 minutes in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League combined.
The former-FC Porto and AS Monaco star has still managed to record two assists during his cameo appearances.
Manchester United are believed to be keen on bringing the playmaker to England over the summer, whilst Premier League rivals Chelsea are also being strongly linked to the 25-year-old.
Spanish website Don Balon are claiming that United are planning to make an offer next summer after failing to come to an agreement with Real Madrid in the last transfer window.
James Rodríguez was valued at £60 million ,slightly less than the £71 million the La Liga giants splashed out on the attacking midfielder after winning the Golden Boot at the 2014 World Cup.
Rodríguez still has four years left on his contract at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
